Epic Camp: New Zealand 2008

EC:NZ’08 is set to commence from Christchurch on 27th January 2008.

The Route:

We will make our way from Christchurch towards Wanaka via Tekapo. From here we will head across to Queenstown.

The route will take in the great Southern lakes, Mackenzie Country and the Queenstown area is regarded as some of the most spectacular scenery in NZ.

  • John Newsom, Elite triathlete and Coach
  • 20 age-group slots available
  • This is a unique opportunity to live and train shoulder-to-shoulder with the best

Camp Date: 27th January – February 4th, 2008

Start: Christchurch, New Zealand

Finish: Queenstown, New Zealand

Schedule:

  • All athletes arrive Christchurch, New Zealand in time for welcome dinner on Saturday, 26th January, 2008
  • An early season, volume-oriented training camp for athletes serious about their commitment to athletic excellence
  • Epic Training starts Sunday, 27th January, 2008
  • At least 1000kms of cycling around New Zealand’s South Island
  • Swim and run every day
  • Time Trials and Special “Events” to keep it interesting

Cost: US$2,450 – Includes everything but Mercy

  • Airport pick-up at Christchurch International Airport
  • Airport drop off at Queenstown Airport
  • Accommodation from Saturday, 26th January to Monday, 4th February (9 nights)
  • Accommodation will be a mix of motels, lodges and serviced apartments.
  • All meals are provided. We pride our camps on our food and nobody goes home hungry
