EPIC CAMP KONA 2013

Following on from the successful Hawaii 2012 Camp we are happy to confirm the 2013 Epic Camp Kona
This is a unique opportunity to experience the legend that is the Big Island. If you aspire to qualify for the Ironman World Champs you can check out what that race is really about. Equally if qualifying is currently beyond your abilities not only do you get you get to cover the entire course in training and the 70.3, you also get a vacation in a spectacular part of the world.

Dates
  • Arrivals Saturday 25th May 2013 (training starts Sunday)
  • Departures Sunday 2nd June 2013 
What to expect
  • An Epic week of training
  • A hell of a good time with likeminded athletes
  • Swim / Bike / Run the entire Ironman Course
  • Explore the other amazing riding the Big Island offers such as riding up to Volcano and several of the other high roads
  • A fully supportive environment where you can excel. All you need to do is train, eat, sleep and absorb the knowledge from your fellow experience camp athletes and Coach John Newsom – our support crew take care of the rest
  • Race the Kona 70.3 on the final day of camp
What’s included: It is our expectation when you arrive you should not need to take your wallet our of your pocket.
The camp fee includes:
  • An epic experience like no other with a variety of amazing training on the bike island
  • 8 nights accommodation (twin share)
    • 4 nights in condo’s on Ali’i Drive
    • 4 nights at the luxurious Mauna Lani Resort (this is an awesome resort and there is time to relax the day before the 70.3 and afterwards)
  • All food (breakfast, lunch, dinner, sports nutrition (High 5))
  • On road support 
  • Two massages
  • Epic Camp goodies
  • Bike mechanic support
  • Airport & Race Transfers
  • Transfers from Volcano National Park (point to point ride on Day2)

Athlete requirements

For this camp we require athletes to have completed an ironman in under 13hrs (or show similar ability over shorter distance races)
